Hi, we're Andrew and Nick...
Thanks for visiting our Wine Bar, The Balthazar at Street 24.
We've been in Siem Reap since 2018, after visiting town for a few years we thought this is somewhere we should be more permanently. It's an amazing place with so much to offer, the food and drink scene is vibrant and diverse, there really is something for all tastes.
Our ethos is pretty simple - to sell great wines from around the world, something that we enjoy and are passionate about. Our wine list is pretty comprehensive but if you have any suggestions - give us a shout!
The team are the most important part of who we are. Our aim is to pro vide training in various aspects of business, finance and hospitality management, skills that can empower.
We are as sustainable as possible, avoiding single use plastics wher ever we can - we use biodegradable straws and compostable rubbish bags. We're not perfect, but we're getting there.
Community is very important to us... We support other small local businesses by sourcing items from Siem Reap or Cambodia. Partner ships are a key to success, so far we get some of our meats and cheeses from Tyty at La Fattoria, who honed his skills in Italy. We also work closely with Cafe Point 9 who provide the delicious dips for our
grissini and our home-made Pate. The bitters that we use in our cock tails come from Tomaka in Phnom Penh - who in turn use Cambodian ingredients in all of their products. Our team uniforms are created by Trunkh, in Kandal Village. We're ever on the look-out for ways to sup port local endeavours - if you have any ideas, please let us know.
Enjoy your time here with us and we hope to see you again soon...
